Are you getting tired of your wardrobe, but really don’t want to buy new clothes?  Are you tired of your ordinary, plain pair of black heels?  Do you have too many handbags, but want something new and different?  Vintage brooches may be the answer you are looking for.  Vintage brooches help spice up any outfit, and give your style a unique flair.  There are so many great ways to wear brooches.

Brooches on a Top

975dBrooches can be worn the way we all know best, on the front of your favorite sweater, blouse, or on a lapel. A brooch can add just the right amount of sparkle to make the ordinary wow!  Pairing a brooch with a complimentary color top works best.  Think of an orange top with a blue brooch or a black top with a sliver one.  Some other ways a brooch could be worn on a top are to use a brooch to fasten a top instead of buttons, if a top is too big it can be used to make the top fit better and give it a little flair or to even accentuate your bust.

Brooches on the Head

436F1Brooches are a great hair accessories. You can attach one to a hair ban or clip.  You can also attach a brooch to whatever you use to hold together a bun or ponytail.  A brooch can also just be tucked into the hair, but do be careful not to get stuck with a pin.  The best brooches for hair are the ones that glitter and sparkle.  Another way to add a brooch to your head is add it to a hat.

Brooches on the Shoes

Have a pair of shoes that need some dressing up?  Brooches are even great for that too.  Adding a pair of matching brooches to a pair of shoes gives new life to a pair of kicks that otherwise would be left in the closet.  Brooches can be attached to the toe of a shoe or even the heel.

Brooches on the Purse

610F1Do you want a new handbag, but really don’t need one?  Yet again brooches are the best way to update your handbag. Just adding a little something gives you a new bag, without breaking the bank.   A brooch and be added to anywhere on a handbag too.  A quick way to add a brooch to a bag without actually adding it to a bag is to add a piece of ribbon to a handle by tying it into a bow.  Then placing a brooch to the bow.

Brooches, Brooches Anywhere!

In summary, one can clasp a brooch to just about anything!  Can even be used in home decor, such as curtain tie-backs.   The use of brooches is only limited by your imagination.
